Terms of Service

The rules for using Textera to convert audio and video into Word, PDF, TXT, SRT, VTT and MP3 outputs.

1. The service

Textera converts audio and video files into text, producing documents, subtitles and an audio copy with optional timestamps and translation. Transcription is performed using automated AI and may contain errors.

2. Pricing and payment

Textera charges per file based on its length, starting at $1 (USD) for files up to 30 minutes and rising for longer files. Optional monthly plans and prepaid credit packs are also available. Payment is required before downloads are unlocked and is processed securely by Stripe.

3. Acceptable use

  • You must own or have the right to transcribe the files you upload.
  • You may not use the service for unlawful content or in violation of others' rights.
  • You may not attempt to disrupt, abuse or reverse-engineer the service.

4. Your content and accuracy

You retain all rights to the files you upload and the transcripts produced. We process your content only to provide the service, as described in our Privacy Policy.

Transcripts are generated automatically and are provided as is. We do not guarantee perfect accuracy and are not responsible for decisions made based on the output.

5. Availability, liability and refunds

We aim to keep the service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Textera's total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid for the conversion in question.

6. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
